Portrait of Shev Lunatic

Yevgeniya Shevchuk aka. Shev Lunatic, born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1995, is a young passionated Artist who creates pieces in the fields of Street Art, Modern Art and Tattooing. At the age of 3, she came to Germany with her family and settled in Dusseldorf after numerous stints in Southern France. In 2014, Shevchuk studied communication design at the Institute of Design in Dusseldorf. It was during that time that she developed her signature style, blending elements of street and pop art in her colorful canvases.

A world between conscientiousness and passion

Yevgeniya Shevchuk‘s talent was recognized during her childhood and promoted in the form of private lessons for drawing. To her, it was always clear that her path would pursue creativity. Later on, however, financial security became a top priority, leading her to study graphic design in order to pursue a commercial career. Yet ultimately, Shevchuk‘s thirst for creativity returned with an encounter with a gallery owner from Monaco. She adopted the name Shev Lunatic,and has been working as a freelance artist since 2016.

Art as a rebellion for freedom and for expression

Shev Lunatic works with strong colors, without losing the seriousness of her expression. She creates her typical colorful street art works at festivals and events. In her works, she combines abstract forms and creates images with spray and acrylic paint, which move between realism and surrealism. Her attention is always focused on the eyes of her portraits to intensify the quote-inspired surrealist and psychedelic mind – eyes are the windows of our soul.

A rising star in the street art scene

Well connected and represented by agencies in Paris, London, Berlin and Düsseldorf she has already made a name for herself in the industry. By introducing Street Art and Tattooing into the B2B Network she has already worked for clients such as CINQUE MODA GmbH, 25hours Hotel Company GmbH and E. Breuninger GmbH & Co. and the British Army (26th Regiment Royal Artillery). She also had the honour to personally portray well-known people like Elon musk live for Vodafone, during the Axel Springer Awards in 2020, using the 5G Robot arm named Franka.

The young artist regularly exhibits her work at international festivals and events. Her works most often appear in France, U.K. and Germany.
